My name is Natalie Fedrau, and I was born in Kyrgyzstan in 1980.

I have been living and working in Belize since 2022. I have been dedicated to painting in my studio since 2008, particularly acrylic painting with three-dimensional texture.

I enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of media.

Materials like sand, coffee grounds, pastels, charcoal, jute, and paper lend my works a tactile materiality that invites touch.

My passion is abstract landscape painting; satellite images, underwater worlds, and the sky inspire me. Therefore, it is not surprising that a very specific color scheme can be observed time and again, giving rise to creations. From darkness to light. From absolute chaos to absolute order and  harmony.

The basic idea and concept of my works usually arise very spontaneously and are guided by the feeling that is transferred onto the XXL canvas.

What my paintings will ultimately look like is only determined and must be developed through numerous drying phases and various application techniques.

The various artist colors are applied in varying layers and thicknesses with a brush, palette knife, or even with the fingers.

Art is created without much thought; it is pure doing and implementation.

Anyone who knows their art materials and their properties and is familiar with abstract painting techniques can surrender to this feeling.

Color, depth, contrast, and expressiveness in their modern art are my goals.

In my artwork, I try to process the impressions and feelings of nature, the environment, and creation in my life, which continually inspire me in new and wonderful ways.

The harmony of my paintings is very important to me; in all lighting conditions, my artwork radiates vitality and strength and, with a certain calm, encourages pause and contemplation.
